profitability significantly. The occupancy rate increased to 88.6
percent (Q2 2010/2011: 86.9 percent). Therefore revenues expanded to

from EUR 3.2 million to EUR 5.0 million. "With these results we
continue the improvement of our profitability. The Company is on
track for reaching our guidance for full fiscal year 2011/2012." says
Michael Thanheiser, chairman of Marseille-Kliniken AG.
Since fiscal year 2010/2011 Marseille-Kliniken AG fosters growth by a
strategy mix which includes a focus on care for elderly, quality
leadership and a decentralised management structure. Moreover an
initiative carried out to optimise costs also played a role in
supporting the company's economic recovery.
This trend continued in the results published today. With an increase
of 2.0 percent to 88.6 percent, the occupancy rate exceeded the
market average (88 percent).
Coincidently with the expansion of revenues, total expenses declined
from EUR 96.0 million in previous year to EUR 94.2 million. Due to
this EBITDAR increased by 1.5 percent to EUR 26.9 million (previous
year: EUR 26.5 million) and EBITDA rose by 15.3 percent to EUR 8.3
million (previous year: EUR 7.2 million). Total group earnings

Overall Marseille-Kliniken AG operates a total of 60 care facilities
across Germany, with a sales capacity of 7,953 beds on 31 December
2011.
Against the backdrop of the half yearly results, Marseille-Kliniken
AG confirms its forecast for full 2011/2012 financial year, which
calls for a slight revenue increase and Group EBIT of EUR 10.0
million, well above the previous year's level. The corresponding
